Forest Woods is a 519-unit condominium at Lorong Lew Lian in District 19, developed by Serangoon Green Pte. Ltd. in a joint venture between City Developments Limited, Hong Leong Holdings, and TID, with architecture by DCA Architects. The design draws on the site’s riparian history, near the former Serangoon River, translating a “forest walk” landscape concept into seven residential blocks of 12 storeys each, arranged to maximise block-to-block spacing across an irregularly shaped site.

The facades are articulated through alternating frames and overlapping ledges of varying depths, creating a layered box-and-frame envelope rather than a flat curtain wall, intended to read as an extension of the surrounding landscaping. The unit mix spans one-bedroom plus study through five-bedroom penthouse layouts across eight configurations, with landscaping transitioning from a denser “forest walk” theme on the eastern portion of the site to a more manicured, orderly treatment to the west.

Distributing seven separate blocks of varying unit types across an odd-shaped 14,001.5 sqm site, while maintaining generous block spacing and a continuous landscape concept running through and around the buildings, required close coordination between architectural and landscape models to resolve façade depth, block orientation, and inter-block sightlines consistently across the development.
