The Jalan Damai Integrated Development is a community-centric hub that houses a polyclinic, nursing home, and senior care center. The project’s primary challenge was to create a cohesive environment that caters to various healthcare needs while maintaining a sense of community openness.

Our team utilized BIM to optimize the facility’s spatial layout, with a specific focus on pandemic-resilient design. Through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) integrated into the BIM environment, we simulated airflow and pedestrian movement to ensure that the building could adapt to different infection control protocols without compromising user comfort.

The digital model served as the central collaborative tool for the Ministry of Health and site contractors, facilitating a smooth transition from design to delivery. By validating the performance of the building virtually, we helped deliver a robust healthcare asset that is as resilient as it is welcoming for the residents of Jalan Damai.
