Singapore has become one of Southeast Asia’s principal data centre hubs, hosting facilities for global hyperscalers and telecommunications operators including Google, Meta, and Singtel. These facilities are typically delivered as multi-storey, purpose-built structures engineered around stringent power redundancy, cooling, and physical security requirements, a building typology where the services and structural systems are as central to the design as the architectural envelope itself.

Across these projects, the scope of digital delivery work spans FM-BIM Consultancy, BIM Coordination, BIM Management, Common Data Environment (CDE) Consulting, and Development & Integration, supporting the coordination of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems throughout design and construction, and extending into a structured digital model for use in ongoing facilities management once each facility is operational. A Common Data Environment underpins this process, providing a single, version-controlled platform through which architectural, structural, and MEP models are shared, reviewed, and coordinated by all parties across a project’s lifecycle.

Data centre projects present a distinct coordination challenge compared to conventional commercial buildings: dense service risers, high-capacity electrical and mechanical plant, and stringent redundancy requirements must be resolved within compact floor plates, often on accelerated construction timelines to meet growing regional demand for computing capacity. BIM-based coordination and a well managed CDE allow these dense services layouts to be resolved digitally ahead of construction, while structured FM-BIM handover ensures the completed model continues to support facility operations, maintenance, and future upgrades long after project completion
